This newly built 6,144 sq ft home overlooking Folsom Lake was recently purchased by our clients. While beautifully designed, it called for an upgrade from builder-grade materials and cabinetry. With a love for entertaining and gathering with family and friends, the home offered the perfect canvas to elevate both function and style.
The goal of the media room was to create a space for entertaining, relaxing, and gathering with family and friends. The design draws from the husband’s love of archery and the wife’s appreciation for subtle, elegant textures—blending grasscloth wallpaper, handmade zellige tile, warm two-toned wood cabinetry, and a rich, dramatic paint color to create a refined yet inviting lounge.
Custom millwork, layered lighting, and thoughtful styling complete the space, resulting in a multifunctional room for games, music, movies, and casual hosting.
The downstairs powder bath is a standout and meant to be enjoyed by guests. A custom curved stone floating vanity paired with arched, fluted wood cabinetry brings warmth and softness to the space.
A wall-mounted faucet, tailored lighting, oversized crown molding, and herringbone wood floors layer beautifully, creating a guest bath that feels both subtle and dramatic.
The entry and primary bedroom carry through the reeded wood inspiration from the powder bath, adding warmth and continuity. Layered textures—from a corduroy velvet chaise and a cozy fur rug by the fireplace to sheer drapery and a luxe area rug—create a soft, elevated feel.
Anchored by a striking oil painting by artist Jacque Price, the space evokes a serene, spa-like retreat for the couple to unwind.
