OUR DESIGN APPROACH

DESIGNING HIGH END, WHILE KEEPING IT DOWN TO EARTH

Deeply rooted in craftsmanship with a bit of refined funk.

We believe in doing things well and doing them with intention. By sourcing enduring materials and working alongside talented makers and tradespeople, we create interiors grounded in quality.

Layering quality materials, custom details, and thoughtful color palettes is at the heart of our work. Each space is designed to feel collected, considered, and deeply lived in.

We honor the story within every home, embracing its character — a true reflection of the people who live within it.

Listening is the foundation of our process. Through open dialogue and close collaboration, we shape interiors that reflect our clients’ lifestyles, perspectives, and aspirations — ensuring each space feels authentic and entirely their own.

ABOUT OUR STUDIO

We believe in intentional, architectural, and curated homes

Our studio is located on Main Street in Placerville, California, in the heart of the historic downtown district. It serves as a multifunctional design office and meeting space, where our team collaborates, draws inspiration, and brings ideas to life. Clients can explore material samples in person, review design presentations, and experience our curated selection of finishes, furnishings, and textures firsthand.

In addition, our space doubles as an upholstery furniture, and area rug showroom, allowing clients to see, touch, and experience the pieces they may select for their home. This hands-on experience builds confidence in design decisions and creates a tangible connection to the finished project.

The studio also hosts private consultations, design workshops, and intimate gatherings with the local design community, fostering creativity, collaboration, and inspiration.

MEET THE TEAM

MOLLY CARTER

FOUNDER, PRINCIPAL INTERIOR DESIGNER

Her naturally wavy hair refuses to be perfectly tamed—much like her design style: refined, with an unexpected edge of funk. A longtime lover of NYC and the LBI shore, she’s just as happy glamping in her Airstream with her family. Rarely without a latte in hand, her weekends (when she’s not designing) are spent trying to grow a vegetable and flower garden and adventuring with her son. Arrive with a passion fruit margarita and street tacos, and you’ll have her full attention.

Molly’s 20 years of full-time experience living and working in California’s most energetic and inspiring cities—Los Angeles and San Francisco—have helped shape her concept of high design, while her country roots keep her grounded. Her impressive residential portfolio ranges from a 2,800-square-foot home in El Dorado Hills to a 35,000-square-foot mansion in Beverly Hills.

She specializes in ground-up construction, managing projects of all sizes from concept through completion while keeping them on budget. Known for clear communication and a hands-on approach, she leads with strong project management and design direction.

Molly is a LEED-accredited, NCIDQ-certified interior designer (#28323). She holds a B.S. in Interior Design from San Francisco State University (4.0 GPA) and an A.A. from Santa Barbara City College, and began her career developing technical and project management expertise at UCLA’s Design & Project Management department.

DANIELLE DEVEAU

SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER

A craft beer enthusiast and dog lover, she spends her annual dirt bike trips tearing across the dusty trails of Baja with her Dad, chasing sunsets and a little adventure along the way. When she’s not planning her next trip south, you’ll likely find her out on a trail somewhere, happily hiking for miles and soaking up any excuse to be outside. At home, she somehow manages to keep a thriving, ever-growing jungle of houseplants alive and well, enjoys a perfectly timed afternoon latte like it’s a daily ritual, and remains impressively—and unwaveringly—committed to avoiding mushrooms in all forms..

Danielle is an NCIDQ-certified interior designer (#36459). She received a Bachelor of Arts degree for Interior Design with concentration in Interior Architecture from Sacramento State University.
