The Camino Heights River Mountain Garden Project

Project Scope: Interior Renovation + Furnishings

Camino,  California

The Camino Heights custom home required updated furnishings and a more functional kitchen and breakfast nook layout. Thoughtful space planning was essential for this couple, passionate about cooking and baking. Their everyday adventures—in hiking, ski instruction, river rafting, and gardening—provided abundant inspiration, guiding a nature-inspired palette of materials and finishes throughout the home. This suck with us as we at MED are all lovers of outdoor adventures too.

The original wide galley kitchen was awkwardly laid out and challenging to optimize. The redesigned layout now works perfectly for the couple, with a cheerful color palette that highlights the 10’ ceilings and brings joy to the space and the owners most of all.

Custom window shades introduced a layer of textile that softens the kitchen’s clean lines and adds warmth to the space. Rich tones and elevated materials bring new life to what was once a rather understated kitchen.
